Twins in the same room - sleep training feels impossible

We have 9 month old twins sharing a room and when one cries it wakes the other, so any attempt at letting them settle turns into a duet of screaming at 2am.

Does anyone have experience training twins? Do you separate them temporarily? I'm running on fumes and my husband and I are basically tag-teaming shifts.

Twin parent here. Honestly they get used to each other's noise faster than you'd think. We did NOT separate ours and within about a week they were sleeping through each other's fussing. The first few nights were brutal though, won't lie.

We split ours temporarily into separate rooms while we worked on settling, then reunited them once both were solid. It made the training phase much more manageable for our sanity. No shame in doing whatever gets everyone sleeping.

Tag-teaming shifts is survival mode and it's valid. Can a grandparent or friend take a night so you both get one solid block? We were so fried we couldn't think straight until someone gave us a night off.

Whatever you do, keep them both on their backs in their own cots with nothing loose in there, especially with two it's tempting to cut corners when you're exhausted. Consistency between you and your husband matters more than the exact method.
